- Bee Colony Monitoring -
Our livestock is made up of 35,000,000 bees, or 700 hives.
Although autonomous, bee colonies require regular monitoring throughout the year. We thus control their development, their reserves and their state of health.
- Breeding -
Every spring, our priority is to form swarms in order to renew our livestock. This is how we select the genetics of our queens. These swarms are also for us a guarantee of the safeguard of our colonies of bees, mistreated by climate change and environmental pollution.
- Transhumance -
To expand our range of honeys and maintain dynamism in our colonies, we move our hives to the rhythm of the different blooms. Our colonies winter in the Massif des Maures and in the rosemary hills near Salon de Provence. In May, we transhume on the sectors of acacias, chestnut trees and lime trees in Isère as well as in the Ubaye valley. At the end of June, our hives are in place for the Lavender honey flow, on the Valensole plateau and on the Lure-Albion plateau.
- Harvest -
We harvest the honey at maturity, to guarantee optimal conservation.
- Honey house -
We take care, in the different stages of extraction, honey processing and packaging, to preserve and respect the properties and qualities of our different honeys.
